Monuments: A dive into Tradition and culture

SanginDarwaza: It is considered to be the second entrance gate to the popular Hari Parbat Fort or Mughal Fort. The walls and ceiling of this gate are lacking the Persian inscriptions that are seen in the first gate, the Kathi Darwaza. The brick or stone masonry used to construct the gate is characteristic of the Mughal architectural style.

Sher Garhi Palace: Sher Garhi Palace is a historical monument in Srinagar. It lies in the southern part of the city on the left bank of River Jhelum. Sher Garhi means ‘Tiger Fortress’ is a former royal residence of Dogra Kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir.In present days, the palace has been used as administrative departments by the state government and called as ‘Old Secretariat’.
